Lucilla is a mental health practitioner with over 20 years of experience in training and facilitating. She has taught more than 1,000 individuals on a range of subjects, including soft skills, workplace culture, and mental health tactics.
Lucilla is certified in Emotional Intelligence, Cognitive Behavioral Therapy, Hypnotherapy and Emotional Freedom Technique. She has also completed the Mental Health First Aid and the Immigrant and Refugees Mental Health Course.
Lucilla has an intuitive, creative, and practical mind. She strongly believes in the importance of continued education and self-improvement.
She currently lives on Vancouver Island with her husband, son, dog, and cat. In her free time, she can be found sipping a cup of tea and reading mystery novels.
1. Where are you originally from and where you do you currently live?
I am originally from Italy, and currently living in Canada.
2. What has been one rewarding thing about living abroad?
Motivation to continue education and self-improving. I also started an entrepreneurial journey.
3. What is one fun or random fact about you that people don’t know?
In Italy I used to be part of an historical archery group, based on the Celtic culture. I love archery, I was pretty good at it. I won a few tournaments. Once I even shot a fire arrow!
4. What is one tip you would like to share with new expats
Do your best to adapt and find things of the host culture that make you happy, but never forget your roots and who you are.

Progress, not perfection.
